TOURNAMENT GUIDELINES

All tournaments conducted by the Heart of Ohio Junior Golf Association will have the following guidelines:                                                                                                                              

Age Brackets (As of 9-1-09) & Score Guideline

*9-12 year old division (9 Holes) 8 year olds must qualify (see below); 13-15 and 16-18 year old division (18 Holes). Juniors age 13-18 should regularly score lower than 120 and Juniors 12 & Under, 63 or lower for 9 holes prior to signing up to play in tournaments.

Girls: Until there are 12 or more girls in a division, the girls will play in the same division as the boys, using the red tees.

Soft spikes: All players must wear soft spikes.

12 and Under Division will be limited to 10 strokes per hole during tournament play.
Number of Entries: All tournaments are limited to 120 entries.

Entry Deadlines: All entries must be received 10 days prior to tournament. All tournament entries must accompany blanket entry form.

Tee Times: Tee Times will be posted on the Web site www.hojga.org. They can also be obtained by calling 1-740-389-6207. All players are to report no less than one half hour prior to their tee time.

Rules: USGA, local Golf Course rules, and those of the Heart of Ohio Junior Golf Association "Code of Conduct" will apply to all events.

Withdrawal: No junior may be excused or leave tournament site unless authorized to do so by the tournament director/officials; hence a withdrawal without a permission slip means disqualification (and no refund) of junior's next tournament's entry. Withdrawal will be permitted for illness only, and a doctor's excuse must be received within 2 days to validate next tournament entry. A player who finishes a tournament may request that his score not be published.

Rain: In the event of rain, information pertaining to rain date will be available at the tournament site.

Cancellation: In the event someone must cancel, they must advise tournament committee one week in advance of the tournament to be considered for a refund of entry fee.

Awards: will be presented at each tournament.
